Vaan Muhil also is planning to start second round of distribution of relief materials to the affected families and individuals in the working villages in Srivilliputhur and Vembakkottai blocks in Virudhu Nagar district with the support of The Freedom Fund. 

]]> https://www.vaanmuhil.org/covid-19-relief-work-in-tirunelveli-district/ Wed, 10 Jun 2020 19:23:37 +0000 http://www.vaanmuhil.org/demo/?p=1701 Vaan Muhil has been involved in distribution of relief material to the most needy and vulnerable families in Virudhu Nagar and Tirunelveli districts, as COVID – 19 response in April – May 2020. With the support of The Habitat for Humanity India and Royal Enfield, Vaan Muhil distributed 1000 family kits with 22 essential items, including Rice, Dhal, Sugar, Edible Oil, Masala Powder, sanitizers and bathing soaps in Tirunelveli district. The families were identified by the Vaan Muhil volunteers and staff in 25 locations in Tirunelveli district. The total worth of relief material distributed was Rs. 25 lakhs. Vaan Muhil is also working in coordination with the district administration in distribution of relief materials to the needy people. Vaan Muhil also distributed 600 food packets to most vulnerable individuals in May 2020, with the support of IPAC.
